No-Sew
Easy Homespun
Napkins
What
you will need:
1 yard of
Homespun fabric
Scissors
Yields: 4
napkins
Homespun makes
beautiful
napkins because
it is soft
(after washing)
and doesn't need
ironing. You can
get it in solids
or prints and
even make a
tablecloth to
match/co-ordinate.
It is economical
enough to make
several sets or
to use for
everyday.
1
yard of fabric
will yield 4
generous sized
napkins that are
about 16" X 16"
each. Just lay
out your fabric
and measure
about 17 inches
and then make a
cut. Tear the
fabric on all 4
sides, then pull
away threads to
start the
fraying.
Wash/Dry/Fold.
More fraying
will occur after
washing them;
just pull off
the threads. Do
not use fabric
softener in
rinse cycle.
Easy Acorn
Napkin Rings
What you will
need:
Mini grapevine
wreaths (10 for
$1)
Acorns (God
makes them for
free!)
Small artificial
leaves ($1 for
80)
Glue gun
(varies)
Optional :
polyurethane/sealer

These napkin
rings are so
economical, you
can use them for
entertaining any
large crowd this
autumn! They
also would make
a nice hostess
gift for whoever
makes your
Thanksgiving
dinner. They can
be used with
fabric or paper
napkins and they
will hold the
silverware too!
Great for
buffets ... put
them in a pretty
basket ... just
grab and go!
Hot-glue 3 small
leaves to the
bottom of the
mini grapevine.
Then hot-glue
1-3 small acorns
on top of them.
(Optional: In
advance, I
sprayed a coat
of polyurethane
on my acorns to
make them shiny
and keep the
caps on too) I
used different
combinations of
colored
leaves/numbers
of acorns for
variety. When
done, just pull
the napkins up
through the
bottom!
