Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."

So are you? Potentially Successful that is?

I sure hope so! Well, as a matter of fact, I know you are! How do I know this? Every single man and woman has been created with gifts and talents and interests that are unique to them. I believe this with all my heart.

The challenging part is discovering what they are!

When I was a teenager I had a dream to become a world famous special effects camera woman. (I loved special effects movies like Star Wars.) I outgrew that idea...

For many years I wanted to be a Social Worker and help people. I planned on this and worked towards it diligently. When I actually started the BSW program however, I learned (slowly and rather painfully) that it was not a good career choice for me.

A speaker I heard recently said that we must never be afraid to evaluate and that is so true. As we grow up and experience more of life our true heart of heart dreams may change and we might not even realize it until we get close to what we thought we wanted.

So at the age of 30 I dropped out of the BSW program with great joy.

I have new dreams about what I want to do with the rest of my life. I have really placed my trust in God that He will lead me where I'm supposed to go. And of course I don't just sit on my thumbs, I put this faith into daily action by developing my interests and passions. I am not afraid to try new things and I am very willing to evaluate as I go rather than getting bogged down in an idea that doesn't pan out.

I am (and so are you) potentially highly successful!

I can't wait to see where my potential takes me!

Father God, I pray that you will give me visions of the future that You have planned for me. Please give me the capacity to grow into the person that You have designed me to be! Help me to not be afraid to dream big and seek to do great things. And keep me in Your will God. I don't want anything that You are not a part of. In Jesus name, Amen.
