Growth can
only go so
far if
you're doing
it all
yourself!
1.
Delegate
Office Work!
I have a
volunteer
who will cut
and label my
reminder
postcards
and also
another
volunteer
who will
write a
personal
thought on
the card!
Note: I
still write
them myself
once in
awhile just
to keep
names in my
head!
2.
Delegate
Reminder
Phone Calls
I split
my phone
directory up
three ways
to three
different
volunteers
who will
call women
to remind
them or
invite them
to come to
Ladies Night
Out or
another
event.
3.
Delegate
Shopping
We give
out a door
prize every
month. I
love to shop
for it, but
someone else
can do it
and save me
an errand.
4.
Delegate
Menu
Planning
This is
an area that
I am really
trying to
develop! I
am pretty
choosy about
the types of
food that we
serve and
the way it
is
presented.
It isn't
easy to
delegate
this, but it
is possible
and we will
do it!
5.
Delegate
Food
Preparation
This is a
little
easier than
the planning
part. Once a
menu is
decided
upon, I have
a whole
group of
volunteers
who are
willing to
cook just
about
anything.
6.
Delegate
Decorating
We have
a woman who
is extremely
gifted in
decorating,
so I just
give her
free reign
over our
events! It
is not one
of my
strengths,
but I know
when
something
looks great!
7.
Delegate Set
Up
I have
volunteers
who show up
early and
just say
"put me to
work." There
can be
surprises at
the last
minute
because we
meet at a
local hotel.
Sometimes
the room
isn't ready
and we are
scrambling,
so extra
hands are a
blessing.
8.
Delegate
Hostessing
I
co-lead our
Women's
Ministry and
we take
turns being
"up front"
and "behind
the scenes".
One month I
may be the
"MC" and
introduce
our speaker
or be
speaking
myself,
another
month I may
be taking
care of all
the details.
Either way,
we have our
hands full.
We are very
blessed to
have seen a
few of our
women stand
out as what
we call
"Lover's of
Women!" They
make sure
every woman
gets a hug
and that
they are
involved and
not sitting
alone.
9.
Delegate
Clean Up
At the
end of an
evening or
event I am
usually
involved in
ministry to
someone. It
is a good
thing to
have a team
of women who
know what
needs to be
done to
clean up and
will see
that it
happens.
10.
Delegate
Prayer but
Keep Some
For
Yourself!
For
every event
that we
have, I
prepare a
list of
prayer
directives
and
distribute
it to the
prayer
warriors of
our church.
I let them
know who the
leadership
is so that
they can
keep them
all covered
in prayer.
Of course,
leadership
also needs
to meet
together and
pray for
attendees
and/or women
too!
